Bobby Darling has filed for a divorce with husband Ramneek Sharma on the grounds of cruelty, but her husband Ramneek is apparently questioning the validity of their marriage. According to his advocate GJ Ramchandani, “According to the Hindu Marriage Act 1955, the marriage takes place between the groom and the bride. Marriage takes place between a male and a female and not between a transgender, who converts into a woman, and a man. She did not disclose about her sex reassignment surgery to the marriage registrar. The marriage is null and void under the provisions of the Hindu Marriage Act. These are the points we have raised,”
Bobby Darling has been a part of several Bollywood movies in the past including Chalte Chalte and Fashion, along with TV shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. However, she mostly rose to fame when she appeared in the first season of reality TV show Bigg Boss. She underwent a sex change in 2014 and got married to her boyfriend Ramneek Sharma in February 2016 in Bhopal. Apart from the dissolution of her marriage, she also sought cancellation of a gift deed of a flat in Oshiwara and Rs 2 crore alimony.
In 2017, Bobby had accused her hubby of domestic violence and demanding dowry. She had filed a police complaint against him and had also alleged that Ramneek was physically violent towards his elder brother and mother as well.
