Erica Fernandes CLARIFIES Shaheer Sheikh is a friend; lashes out at those insulting her friendship with him

Shaheer Sheikh and Erica Fernandes chemistry in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi were one of the biggest highlights of the show. The two were even rumoured to be dating but Shaheer and Erica always maintained that they are "just good friends."

In the last few days, reports suggested that Erica has broken up with Shaheer after she found out that Shaheer was actually cheating on her. The report further highlighted that Shaheer, who was earlier in a relationship with Indonesian actress-singer Ayu Ting Ting, has rekindled his romance with her.

Now, Erica has come out in defense of her relationship with Shaheer and those character assassinating him. Sharing a picture of the duo, Erica wrote, "I would finally want to break my silence here on all that I hear and see and come across on SNS. This is a humble request to please stop making accusations at the cost of one's character."

She further reiterated that Shaheer and her relationship is that of friendship and she will not tolerate anyone maligning it. "The relationship we both share is that of friendship and I do not want anyone insulting it or putting false claims to it. Cooking up stuff, defaming someone and insulting someone publicly just to fill spaces, get hits and sell stories is very disrespectful. Therefore I request to stop posting unethical stuff which is far from reality. Thanks," she added.

This is not the first time Erica has come out and taken a stand for Shaheer. Earlier too when reports of Shaheer neglecting his work for his Indonesian show started doing the rounds, Erica had posted an explanation taking a stand for him. Their friendship is surely something that their fans really admire.

Well, now that this is clear, we hope to see Shaheer and Erica together in another show.
