Diwali 2017: From Divyanka Tripathi to Jennifer Winget; here are our very own patakas of Television

Diwali is one joyous festival when friends and family exchange sweets and spend some quality time with each other. The Diwali fever has not spared B-Town and TV celebs who are currently slaying with their stylish appearances in the pre-Diwali bashes. 

Not just that, these leading ladies have been ruling Television with their pataka attitude. While we at Pinkvilla bat for 'Say No To Firecrackers' campaign, there is no denying that each firework has its own style and sound which adds a different flavor (noise pollution in particular) to the festival. 

In order to make the festival a little interesting, we decided to give a fun twist to it. Given the nature of the character our leading ladies have been portraying, we associate them to our favourite patakas.

So, let the fun begin:

1. Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya as Ishita - Roshni

Roshni also called Akash Ganga usually goes up in the air like a rocket and lights the sky without making a lot of noise. Likewise, Divyanka as Ishita from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein has allowed her work do all the talking. Ishita has always been the woman of substance who has been showering her love and affection to ever family member on the show just like a Roshni pataka.

2. Anita Hassanandani as Shagun - Anar

Also called 'flower pot', Anar when lit turns into a fountain of light. Similarly, Anita as Shagun from YHM lights up the whole atmosphere with her intricate charm and unique sense of style. She rises elegantly just like an anar.

3. Jennifer Winget as Maya - Akash Ganga

Akash Ganga is a noisy rocket which goes up in the sky and bursts with a shower of lights. Jennifer Winget as Maya from Beyhadh is also like a rocket who can be menacing if not dealt with care but at the same time lights up the sky with her grace and elegance and hence, deserves all the noise.

4. Rubina Dilaik as Soumya - Chakri

A chakri when lit goes round and round and spreads light all over. Rubina is currently slaying as Soumya from Shakti: Ek Astithva Ka Ehsaas. Her unconventional choice to play a kinar onscreen and always be up to take different challenges makes Rubina the light which is spreading her charm all over just like a chakri. 

5. Shivangi Joshi aka Naira - Chingari

 ​

Chingari is a firecracker, which is like Phuljari. When lit, it can create a light design when playing with it. Shivangi as Naira from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been slaying and how. She has been lighting TV screens with her vivid portrayal of her character, leaving a mark in the process. 

6. Krystle D’Souza - Phuljari

Krystle D’Souza is like a Phuljari who sparkles with her charismatic screen presence, grace. She is all over the social media. She is best remembered for her role in Ek Hazard Mein Meri Behna Hai and her character was simplistic yet when lit was enough to brighten up your day.

7. Surbhi Chandna aka Annika - Sutli Bomb

Sutli Bomb is the noisiest cracker, which is small in size. Similarly, Surbhi Chandna has been able to rule the Indian Television within a short time with her khidkithod performance as Annika from Ishqbaaaz. 

8. Hina Khan - Ladi 

Ladi is a cracker that comes with a rope and makes a loud noise for a very long time when lit. Hina Khan has now left her Akshara image behind to make noise as loud as a lady with her stint in Khatron Ke Khiladi and now Bigg Boss 11.
