Divyanka Tripathi to romance Rajeev Khandelwal in her web debut Chef?

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fame Divyanka Tripathi is all set to make her web series debut with ALTBalaji’s Chef, the web series which will revolve around the life of two chefs. While Divyanka’s confirmation was revealed a few months back, Ekta Kapoor was still in search of the male lead. And now it seems the makers have zeroed in on Rajeev Khandelwal. Rajeev made his debut in the digital world this year with AltBalaji’s Haqq Se and will yet again associate with Ekta Kapoor’s romantic web series, Chef. A leading entertainment portal confirmed the news.

Chef is said to be a mature love story. It will be an emotional tale with a tinge of comedy. The show which is expected to launch by end of the year will be penned by popular author Jaya Misra. With Yeh Hai Mohabbatein still on air, Divyanka will have to juggle between the shoots of both the shows.

Confirming about Chef, Producer Ekta Kapoor in a tweet had said that “Ok since ppl got it! An official statement! A love story between two chefs! That shared pain betrayal a past and the love for FOOD!most love stories end in a kitchen this started in one @dorisdey209 @jaya_misra.” She also added that the original will be streaming soon on ALTBalaji.

Rajeev was last seen in Zee TV’s popular talk show, Juzz Baaat, which gained immense popularity as a lot of actors opened their hearts out and revealed a lot of things about their personal lives on the show. And Divyanka was one amongst them. This was the show where Divyanka had put her pregnancy rumours to rest.
