Television actors try and experiment with their projects. They might choose to be a part of different shows at the same time or might also experiment with reality shows as well. Some actors even try their hand at hosting shows as well and joining the league of such actors is television’s favourite bahu, Ishita aka Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya. The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein star enjoys a massive fan following owing to her stint in the show. She also has hosted some award shows where her humour and politeness was loved by the audience.
Now, she is all set to add another feather to her cap and will be seen hosting a popular singing reality show, The Voice which will feature the Oscar-winning music composer, AR Rahman as the super judge. During an interview with DNA, Divyanka expressed her happiness and excitement to be a part of a show which has AR Rahman in it. She said, “I am a huge fan of his. During my childhood, my siblings and I remember in my childhood, my sister, brother and I used to play his songs from Taal, Roja and Bombay in the car. When I got to know he is the super guru on the show, I felt this was the best.”
However, like every fan, Divyanka expressed her nervousness while interacting with a world-class music composer and said, “I may be exaggerating, but I hope I don’t offend him in any way. We have some interesting interactions, and on this show, people will know his true personality.” She was also quizzed about her singing ability, to which she simply stated that it is not her cup of tea and she can only sing in the bathroom. She said, “I love music, but I am only a good bathroom singer.”

Divyanka also expressed that hosting a reality show is different from hosting an award function as in the latter one needs to stick to only a set script. However, according to her, while hosting a reality show one needs to be more active and lively and also interact with the audience. She even said that the hardest part of shows is the goodbyes at the time of eliminations. Divyanka, who is currently seen as Ishita in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, will soon be donning the chef’s hat for Ekta Kapoor’s web series with Rajeev Khandelwal called Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala. She has been pretty excited about the same and has shared many glimpses of the posters on social media.
