Divyanka Tripathi on Aarushi murder case: Truth should come out, Justice must be served
In recent developments in the Aarushi murder case, CBI has moved the Supreme court challenging Allahabad HC's decision to acquit Aarushi's parents. Divyanka Tripathi shared her thoughts on Twitter regarding the case.
The Aarushi-Hemraj murder case has been ongoing since 2008 and in recent developments, CBI has moved the Supreme court challenging Allahabad HC's decision to acquit Aarushi's parents Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, according to a leading daily.
In 2013, the CBI court found Aarushi's parents guilty of murdering their daughter who was just 14-years-old. However, on October 12, 2017, Rajesh and Nupur were finally acquitted as the court stated they could not be held guilty because there wasn't sufficient evidence.
Then in December 2017, Hemraj's (who was the Talwar's help) wife challenged the High Court's verdict. Her petition stated that the culprit should be caught otherwise it would mean that no one killed Aarushi and Hemraj.
Divyanka Tripathi took to Twitter to give her two cents on the case that had shaken the very core of our country given the everlasting impact it had and the story that unfolds even today.
Truth should come out. Justice must be served.
But what if they are innocent? We dread being in their shoes!
What if any of us was a part of this long, dragging investigation? https://t.co/cLDL3dMH32
Divyanka tweeted, "Truth should come out. Justice must be served. But what if they are innocent? We dread being in their shoes! What if any of us was a part of this long, dragging investigation?"
Meanwhile, on account of International Women's Day, Pinkvilla got in touch with the talented actor to quiz her on her definition of feminism. Divyanka revealed, "For me, feminism is not about fighting for women rights and taking out morchas. It's deeper. It's an idea that should run in the families from generations to generations empowering women and making men aware about woman's power and honour at the grass root level itself."
