As per the latest buzz, the show Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji is going off-air in the first week of August and Donal, who is the protagonist of the series, is disappointed about the fact that her journey as Happy will be cut short soon.

Donal Bisht who recently replaced Jasmin Bhasin in the TV series Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji recently revealed that she was informed that the show would go on air for a year when she was brought on board. For the unversed, as per the latest buzz, the show is going off-air in the first week of August and Donal, the protagonist of the series is disappointed about the fact that her journey as Happy would be cut short so soon.

She told Bombay Times, “I wasn’t expecting things to turn out like this. It’s heartbreaking and I felt bad when we were informed that 'DTHHJ' will go off air. I had quite a few offers, but I chose this show, so it’s disheartening when the unexpected happens. However, I would like to believe that this has happened for the better.”

As per the same report, the actress was initially hesitant to take up the show but she was convinced by the makers that it will not end anytime soon. She also said how when the protagonist is replaced, it is usually for the betterment of the show and she chose considering the same. She also added how the makers were planning to even shift the sets from Naigaon to Film city in October. She also added how the industry is unpredictable and also the fate of TV shows. She stated that the channel decided to stop its run even though the TRPs haven't dropped.


She said, "Just when people started appreciating my bond with the kid and my chemistry with Rocky (Ansh Bagri), they decided to end the show. I haven’t been given any reason for its abrupt ending."
