The actress recently celebrated her birthday. One of her huge fans named Qasim waited outside her house for hours to meet her. This incident reminded Shivya of her fan story when she stood outside Ranbir's house just to get his glimpse.
About her fan Qasim, Shivya told a leading portal, "I was really overwhelmed by Qasim's gesture and I can't thank him enough. No one has ever showered me with so much love and appreciation and it was very thoughtful of Qasim to have come all the way to meet me."
She further added, "This reminded me of the day when I once stood outside Ranbir Kapoor's house for hours just to catch a glimpse of him. But unfortunately, I could not. I am glad that while my dream still remains unfulfilled, I could see that happiness in Qasim's eyes and make his dream come true."

Shivya was last seen in the show Ek Rishta Saajhedaari Ka along with Kinshuk Vaidya. The two fell in love with each other during the filming of their show and are still going strong.
