Raaj Shaandilyaa who started his career with Comedy Circus has reportedly quit the show mid-way. His departure comes just after two weeks the new season of the show went on air. Raaj is also the writer for Sidharth Malhotra-Parineeti Chopra's Jabariya Jodi, so we are wondering if that’s the reason for his exit? The writer has, however, said that the gags were getting repetitive, and also he is launching his own production house due to which he left it.
During an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Raaj said, “I started my career with Comedy Circus and wrote it till its last season in 2013. I have been emotionally attached to it. I agreed to come on board for the new season, but I felt the gags were getting a bit repetitive. I’m launching my own production house, where I will be working on films, television and web shows, so I decided to quit the show and focus on that.”
Talking about Sidharth and Parineeti’s film he said, “It’s a fun film and people will get to see Sidharth in a new avatar as a Bihari boy. It is a complete entertainer and I enjoyed writing it.”
Raaj has revealed he has several projects in the pipeline and has also roped in two A-listers for two projects but avoided giving too much information about it now.
Talking about the show, the new season of Comedy Circus began from 15th September and just like the earlier season, Archana Puransingh and Sohail Khan are the judges on the show. The show replaced Salman Khan’s Dus Ka Dum. While the face of the show, Krushna Abhishek and Sudesh Lehri are no longer a part of it now, viewers will get to see some of the most popular faces which includes Anita Hassanandani, Aditi Bhatia, Mubeen Saudagar, Siddharth Sagar, Karishma Sharma among others.
