Comedian Sunil Pal invited backlash from the younger lot of stand-up comedians, all because of his regressive comments on a chat show. It all started when he was talking about Pahlaj Nihalani's reservation against the use of the word 'intercourse' in Shah Rukh Khan's Jab Harry Met Sejal.

Pal ended up slamming younger comedian for the usage of sexual references in their gigs. Popular comedians and writers, Vir Das and Tanmay Bhat, have given it back to the senior comedian.

Vir Das took to Twitter and expressed his anger. He wrote, "It makes me sad to see legends like Sunil Pal (Yes the man is a legit legend) and others shit on younger comics and their fan-bases. Unlike movie, unlike music, unlike dance, and unlike so many other professions, comedy is the one profession where there truly is enough for every one. There's enough punchlines, enough topics, enough audiences, enough stages, enough RTs and enough views for everyone. One person's success doesn't come at the cost of anyone's else's, not in comedy."

He also added, "For someone to be a part of that community and to be so negative to a generation that has looked up to you baffles me... If something ain't your cup of tea or vibe, quit whining...write a bloody joke, and perform it for the people who like your stuff."

Tanmay Bhatt said, "Sunil Pal is an embarrassment."

What do you think of Sunil Pal's views on the whole facade?
