Devoleena Bhattacharjee performs Assam’s traditional Bihu dance; Says ‘When in home town, it is must’
Devoleena Bhattacharjee was honored with Mohiyokhi Award by the Sadhana Sahitya Samaj in Guwahati. She shared a video of her performing the Bihu dance.
Former Bigg Boss 14 contestant Devoleena Bhattacharjee loves to be in the headlines. She had recently revealed her wedding plans and also shared about her boyfriend. The actress, who rose to fame from her iconic role Gopi Bahu, is back in news. Devoleena is from Assam, northeast, and she is currently in her hometown. The Saath Nibhana Saathiya actress shared a reels video on her official Instagram where she is seen performing Assam’s traditional folk dance Bihu. Her dance is winning hearts.
In the video, she is seen wearing a Mekhela saree and dancing to a folk song. Devoleena can be seen dancing on a foot overbridge in Guwahati. She captioned the video as ‘When in home town "Assam" Bihu dance is a must.” The actress is looking adorable in traditional attire. Her makeup is also looking very lovely. She has opted for open hair. Fans loved Devollena’s dance and showered loads of love on her video. Many fans dropped heart emojis in the comments section and even called it 'dhuniya' in Assamese.
The actress was also honored with Mohiyokhi Award by the Sadhana Sahitya Samaj. Sharing the photos, she wrote, "Thank you "Sadhana Sahitya Samaj" for honoring me with the most prestigious award "Mohiyokhi award" Joi Aai Axom (sic)."

In an interview, Devoleena had talked about her boyfriend and said, "Just before entering the show we thought of taking our relationship forward. I never like to talk about my personal life in public and it is because I believe that along with love, there should be understanding in any relationship. We enjoy each other’s presence. I also believe in evil eye thing so didn’t want to share too many details." Actress Devoleena plans to get married next year if everything goes well.
