Sony TV's latest fictional offering, Pehredaar Piya Ki literally took the internet by storm. The show's content and storyline made viewers go berserk and they unhesitatingly went ahead in trolling the show. Not just outsiders but the insiders of the industry too did not refrain from back lashing the show.
After Karan Wahi lashed out at the show's content, 'Shopkeeper' fame Gaurav Gera too did a spoof of the show in his own way. Meanwhile, the show has managed to open on a good TRP rating of 1.1 in the first week. The show focuses on the strength and courage women possess. Pehredaar Piya Ki is a show about 18-year old Diya (played by Tejasswi Prakash) becoming the “protector” of nine-year old Ratan Singh (played by Affan Khan) by marrying him and how she emerges triumph against all odds of the society with the sole motive of safeguarding Ratan Singh.
The positive response that the show’s concept has gathered in several social media platforms seems to have pulled off impressive rating points in its opening week. The show will further engross its audience with dramatic moments wherein Diya will be seen facing criticism from Ratan’s family, however, the way she keeps her head high and continues to protect Ratan makes for an interesting watch. The shoot for Sony Entertainment Television’s latest offering, Pehredaar Piya Ki, has already begun long ago. The entire team shot at the Madawa Palace in Jaipur. The show features Tejasswi (Diya), Affan (Ratan Singh), Suyyash Rai (Abhay), Parmeet Sethi (Maan Singh), Kishori Sahanay (Padma Singh) in pivotal roles.
