Ekta Kapoor will be rebooting one of her most popular shows Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The show starred Shweta Tiwari, Cezanne Khan, Urvashi Dholakia and Ronit Roy in the lead roles.

The characters Prerna and Anurag, played by Shweta and Cezanne, respectively are still etched in the minds of the views.  While Shweta, Urvashi and Ronit have given a thumbs up to the first teaser of KZK 2 that Ekta Kapoor recently shared, many are waiting to know what Anurag aka Cezanne has to say.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Cezanne Khan said that he is happy and thrilled about the reboot of the show. The actor said that he achieved success because of the Kasautii. "I can never forget the show that gave me everything — popularity and success," said Khan.

About the reboot, the actor stated, "The idea of rebooting an old hit show is refreshing and amazing."

"I really enjoyed being on the show and playing the role of Anurag Basu on KSK. The show rocked and how. Everything I have today is because of it. KSK was always in the top 10 shows on the ratings chart. Though, I didn’t get much time to watch the serial myself as I was shooting non-stop, from the 1400-plus episodes, I must have seen some 20 episodes because I was dubbing for the scenes in them. I wish the team all the luck for the reboot," added the actor.

Cezanne even mentioned that he is not in touch with his co-stars Shweta and Urvashi. However, he remains in contact with other co-stars like Deepak Qazir and Ankur Nayyar.

The actor has been absent from the Indian Television for a long time. He has acted in several Pakistani shows in the last few years. When he was asked why has he stayed from the Indian TV screens for so long, Cezanne answered, "I want to work but I need to find something worth it. I don’t want to take on a show for the sake of it. I want to enjoy the work that I do and once you take up a project, like a daily soap, you end up living on the set. So, it has to be something which gives me satisfaction and fun. For me, money has never played an important role in considering a project but the role and the project. I get offers for reality shows but I am not comfortable doing them. I would rather do a daily soap."

In the reboot, Prerna's role will be reprised by Erica Fernandes. There are reports that Parth Samthaan will play Anurag Basu and Hina Khan will be seen as Komolika.
