Bigg Boss 14: December 8 Written Update: Manu Punjabi becomes the captain; Eijaz and Rubina Dilaik lock horns

After challengers Vikas Gupta, Kashmera Shah, Arshi Khan, Manu Punjabi, and Rahul Mahajan's grand entry in Bigg Boss 14, the contestants will battle it out in the captaincy task tonight. Rahul will have a 'special power' to choose the new captain, while others like Jasmin Bhasin, Abhinav Shukla, Eijaz Khan will try to 'influence' him to decide their favour. Amidst this, Eijaz and Rubina Dilaik will get into a heated argument. So, without further ado, let's take a look at all that is happening in the Bigg Boss house on December 8, 2020.

10: 30 PM: The episode begins with the housemates waking to Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's song 'Dance Pe Chance' from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Manu and Kashmera talk about the top four not playing the game as per expectations. Arshi teases Vikas and says Abhinav is the real mastermind, as he reached the top four without anything. Kashmera gets agitated as Arshi asks her to wash utensils, the two get into an argument. Manu, Jasmin, and Eijaz try to get into their fight. Later, Kashmera apologizes to Arshi for being rude and says sorry if she felt bad. Eijaz teases Rahul and Arshi, and the actress tells that she is not interested in Rahul. Vikas and Manu talk about Bigg Boss 12, and how Arshi created a rift between them. Manu, Arshi, and Kashmera decide that they will play their game different from the previous housemates, but Eijaz will be with them. Vikas gets annoyed with Arshi's fake rumours of him being in a touch with the creative team of BB 14. The two get into a heated altercation, Arshi tells Vikas that now she has become his 'enemy.' Rahul feels that Arshi and Vikas have some personal issues, and thus they are getting into tiffs.

10: 45 PM: Jasmin advises Vikas to ignore Arshi, and eat his meal peacefully. Arshi gets annoyed by Jasmin's interference, and she warns her to not get in between. Arshi continues her rants. Bigg Boss announces that all the contestants are on an equal platform as a new level of the show has begun. He also announces the captaincy task. As per the task, the housemates have to get the captain chain. Since Rahul was the 'raja', he will begin the task. He will pass on the chain to another contestant, who he deems is fit to be the captain. The task will have six rounds, so the chain will get transferred six times. As soon as the task is announced, the contestants start strategizing. Jasmin, Arshi, and Mannu begin convincing Rahul to give them the chain and assure to save him for nominations. The contestants discuss the pros and cons of captaincy. Rahul feels Eijaz was a good captain, but Abhinav and Jasmin try to influence him to rethink it. 

11: 00 PM: Eijaz reveals that he wants Manu to be the captain, and he is supporting her. Moreover, Eijaz feels Rubina and Abhinav don't deserve to be in the BB 14 house, as they have not understood the game, let alone be the captain. Eijaz tells Rahul that he wants Manu to be the captain, and they will save him from the nominations. The first buzzer rings and Rahul transfers the captan's chain to Eijaz. Kashmera, Arshi, and Manu are happy with Rahul's decision, but Jasmin, Abhinav, and Rubina seem disappointed. Since nobody comes to convince Eijaz, he gets annoyed. Abhinav then tries to pitch Eijaz, but he hits back. Jasmin then tries to convince Eijaz that she is an ideal candidate to be a captain. The second buzzer rings and Eijaz gives the chain to Manu. While Rubina denies taking a chance to convince Manu, Jasmin tries and he refuses. Eijaz, Arshi, and Manu decide to roll the chain among them until the final buzzer.

11: 15 PM: The third buzzer rings. Manu gives the captain chain to Arshi, leaving Kashmera and Abhinav shocked as they expected the chain to go to Eijaz. Jasmin and Abhinav do their bit, but Arshi seems disappointed with their lack of interest. Arshi gives the chain back to Eijaz on the fourth buzzer, and calls him 'hot.' Eijaz and Manu discuss how Rubina and Abhinav are not putting in any efforts and are aloof from the game. On the fifth buzzer, Eijaz hands over the chain to Arshi once again. Eijaz taunts Jasmin, Rubina, and Abhinav for playing safe throughout the season, and says that he will not play safe anymore. Kashmera seems annoyed by Eijaz's move. Jasmin taunts Eijaz for turning from an independent player to being a part of a group within a day. 

11: 30 PM: As Eijaz taunts Rubina for not trying to even participate in the task completely, she tries to defend herself. Eijaz feels Rubina has no convincing power, and she clears her stance. He accuses Rubina of not wanting to play the game. The two get into a heated argument. Abhinav, Jasmin, Rubina, and Rahul discuss Eijaz's double standards during the task. Arshi, Kashmera, Manu, and Eijaz talk about their strategies and promise to never break this alliance. Vikas feels that Kashmera might be the captain, while others think it will be between Eijaz and Manu. The last (sixth) buzzer rings, and Arshi gives the chain to Manu finally, making him the captain. Bigg Boss lauds Manu for being the captain, and he gives a winning speech. Abhinav and Jasmin warmly congratulate Manu for being the captain. Eijaz, Arshi, and Manu explore the captain's room. Vikas and Jasmin get into a conversation about the game. Jasmin reveals that she is feeling lonely after Aly's exit, and sheds tears. Arshi, Kashmera, and Manu talk about their future plans in the game. 

11: 45 PM: Late in the night, Vikas wakes Kashmera up from her sleep and convinces her to wake others and wish them a good morning. One by one, Vikas wakes everyone up, and greets them 'good morning.'
