Basant Bhatt to play Kartikeya on Sony TV's Vighnahartha Ganesha
Sony TV is all set to come up with Vighnaharta Ganesha.
Sony Entertainment Television will soon be home to the story of the most loved god, Ganesha. After essaying the lead character in Sony’s Suryaputra Karn, he has successfully bagged another big mythological show Vighnaharta Ganesha for the role of Lord Kartikeya.
Starting off as a performer in various cultural activities in school and colleges, Basant Bhatt always knew he wanted to enter the entertainment industry. He auditioned for multiple roles and even enjoyed small stints in theatre. When contacted Basant he confirms, “Yes, I will be playing the role of Kartikeya in Vighnahartha Ganesha. It is a very different and exciting role to portray. I connect a lot with Lord Kartikeya’s ideals and values viz. being self-dependent, dedicated to duty and I have always ensured to follow the same in my life. The intricate combination of a warrior and dutiful son appealed to me to take up this great opportunity”.
The show primarily aims to showcase the special relationship a parent shares with their child and this show highlights the unheard stories of Ganesha. After a long search, Uzair Basar won the hearts of the creative team and was finalized to play the pivotal role in Vignahartha Ganesha. Uzair also has a sweet tooth which is helping him to replicate the look of the pot-bellied God on television. When contacted Uzair he confirms, “Yes, I was very happy that the creative team chose me for the part of Lord Ganesha. I have read a lot of books on Lord Ganesha and his stories are very interesting. Now I am eating all my favorite sweets such as modaks, laddoos, chocolates etc. and also following a simple diet routine that is helping me to gain weight so that I get a round tummy like Lord Ganesha.”
