Barun Sobti: How come people are missing Sanaya Irani without watching Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3?
Barun Sobti speaks about Shivani being the right fit for the character of Chandni in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Season 3.
Barun Sobti is all set to return to the small screen with Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3. His new look for the show has already become the talk of the town.
However this time, Barun will be seen opposite Shivani Tomar and not Sanaya Irani. This has left fans disappointed with them demanding Sanaya back in the show.
Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani as Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi Kumari Gupta set the screen on fire with their crackling chemistry. Now, Barun is returning as Advay Singh Raizada while Shivani will be seen as Chandni- a well read Sanskrit scholar.
Barun, who was present at the launch of the show, was asked whether Sanaya’s absence will be felt in the new season, to which he said, “Different characters need different actors to be cast. I was cast for suitability. How come people are missing Sanaya without watching the show? Shivani suits the character, she is perfect fit for it hence she was cast.”
IPPKND's producer Gul Khan, who apparently had a fallout with Sanaya, also responded to the query and said, “She does not fit the character. It was fun working with her but we hope to have fun with Shivani now. I stand by my casting of Shivani in this season, she is the best Chandni."
However, Shivani has been at the receiving end of trolls by Sanaya's fans ever since the news broke out. Responding to it, Shivani said, “The show has not gone on air yet and the audience hasn’t seen it. Maybe once the show goes on air, their point of view might change.”
Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3 will kickstart on July 3.
