Anushka Sen on playing Rani Laxmibai: Kangana Ranaut is my inspiration for women centric roles she has done
In an interview, Anushka Sen spoke about bagging the role of Rani Laxmibai and also highlighted the challenges behind playing this role. She also talked about Kangana Ranaut being her inspiration.
After Kangana Ranaut, Anushka Sen is now all set to step into the role of Rani Laxmibai but on the small screen. In an interview with TellyChakkar, Anushka Sen spoke about bagging the role of Rani Laxmibai and also highlighted the challenges behind playing this role. She also talked about Kangana Ranaut being her inspiration. She told the portal that it was a dream come true when she was asked to play the role of Rani Laxmibai. She said that she has received tremendous response from the time the promos hit the TV screens. She also mentioned being a patriotic person in real life.
Talking about the challenges, she said that she never knew horse riding and sword fighting. The production house made her first take training to learn art. She added that she has injured herself a lot of times during the process, but she made herself mentally and physically strong. “When you try to do something out of your comfort zone we have met with the challenges,” said Anushka. She said that she is lucky at a young age of 16 she is getting to play such a role. The show has changed her as a person. She has become more strong-minded.
When asked if she is up for the comparison with Kangana, she said, “Kangana is my inspiration for the kind of women-centric roles she has played. I will be happy if people compare me with her. She is a legend, and I loved her in the film. Although we both play the same role, how we justify our roles is up to us.” Are you looking forward to watching this show?
