Anupamaa: Sudhanshu Pandey on playing Vanraj Shah: Character has given me a lot of room to explore as an actor

Popular TV show Anupamaa has been setting new records from day one. Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey starrer daily soap are on the top slot of the TRP chart for so many months. The storyline of a woman whose husband cheated on her and treated her poorly is gaining attention from the audience. In the show, Sudhanshu Pandey, who is playing the role of Vanraj Shah, is being praised for his performance. People are appreciating him and Sudhanshu also believes that this role is one of the best performances of him on screen.
Talking about his role to India Today, Sudhanshu Pandey said, “The character has given me a lot of room to explore mentally as an actor. I can’t thank god enough for the praise I have been receiving from the fans. The show and the character both will add a milestone for me in my career. People are loving my work and it makes me happy.” In the show, Sudhanshu is essaying the role of Anupamaa’s husband who is having an affair with his office colleague Kavya.
Sudhanshu also thanked producer Rajan Shahi for offering him the role of Vanraj Shah. He said, "Rajan has given me a gold mine because the role has reached the audience an actor would want."
Sudhanshu aka Vanraj plays the character with grey shades and is cheating on his wife. Talking about the same, the actor said that cheating in any form is not acceptable. “In a relationship, it is wrong to cheat. But, even after it, the two people want to stay together, it is their personal choice. It usually happens because sometimes people think forgiving their partners would be a good decision as they won't be able to separate,” he added.
Currently, in the show, Vanraj and Anupamaa had a heated argument over divorce notice. In the notice, Vanraj has mentioned that Anupamaa, his wife, is mentally unstable. This has sent shock waves to the whole family. It is going to be interesting to see how Anupamaa answers to such accusations leveled against her.
