Ankita Lokhande opens up about her mental health concerns, says ‘Main bhi depression se guzar chuki hoon’

Ankita Lokhande was recently subject to online trolling due to a dance video the actress posted. Fans of late Sushant Singh Rajput showed their disapproval over it in the comments. Ankita, who dated Sushant for a couple of years before they mutually decided to part ways, was picked on by the late actor’s fans. The video was circulated on social media and gained widespread criticism. So much so, that the actress had to address the situation in the form of a live chat.
In a recent Instagram Live, Ankita revealed when she was facing mental health concerns, there was no one to take her back. Opening up about how she never really disclosed her battle with depression publicly, she said “Main bhi depression se guzar chuki hoon lekin maine shayad inn cheezon ko jataya nahi. Main bhi bohot buri haalat mein thi.” In her defense, the actress expressed how she also was in pain due to her struggles. Further adding, “Mujhe bhi takleef hui. Mujhe bhi bohot rona aaya tha”. Fans of the actress empathized with her statements and dropped positive comments in the live chat.
Ankita’s opening up about her journey with depression cleared the air regarding the controversy. Her open-hearted explanation requesting the fans to not misjudge her actions helped in putting an end to the trolling. Ankita’s fans understood her concerns and supported her during this hard time. Sushant lost his battle with suicide on June 14, 2020, and as of now, the Central Bureau of Investigation is investigating his death case.
