Angad Bedi and Mohit Raina contending to play Anurag in Kasautii Zindagii Kay reboot? The actors respond
Rumours were rife that Angad Bedi and Mohit Raina have been in talks with Ekta Kapoor to star as Anurag in the reboot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay. We got in touch with both the actors who responded to the rumours.
Every Ekta Kapoor fans' hearts fluttered when she revealed that she would be rebooting one of her most iconic shows on Indian Television, Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
The eternal love story made stars out of Shweta Tiwari and Cezanne Khan who played Prerna and Anurag respectively. The show ran for seven long years and topped the TRP charts at those times.
While Erica Fernandes is a shoo-in to play Prerna in the reboot, many actor's names have popped up when it comes to Anurag. Names like Shaheer Sheikh and most recently being, Angad Bedi and Mohit Raina, according to DNA.
A source had informed DNA, "There was the talk of Shaheer Sheikh doing the role, but he is not in the reckoning. Ekta has two actors in mind, Angad Bedi and Mohit Raina, but is yet to take a final call. Nonetheless, she will decide soon as the shoot is scheduled to begin in two weeks."
When we contacted Angad, who is currently gearing up for the release of his movie Soorma, the actor dismissed the rumours and stated, "This is news to me. There is no truth in the matter. Right now my only focus is Soorma and post that, is Inside Edge with Excel Entertainment. Soorma is in its release week."
Mohit too, when contacted shut down the rumours and simply said, "Nothing of that sort."
Guess that puts all the rumours to rest!
