Television actor Anas Rashid got married in an intimate wedding ceremony to Heena Iqbal on Saturday, September 10, in an arranged marriage. Anas and Heena took their marital vows in Malerkotla, Punjab in India. Anas Rashid gained immense fame with the show Diya Aur Baati Hum broadcast on Star Plus. Anas with his character won a lot of appreciation and love from fans and viewers. The simplicity and modesty of Anas' character that challenged gender bias fetched him such popularity that despite featuring in several other TV shows, Anas is known for Diya Aur Baati Hum.

Earlier when the reports of Anas Rashid getting married that too in an arranged manner had come out, Pinkvilla had got in touch with Anas where he confirmed the reports. Speaking to us, Anas had said, "Yes, it is true. I am excited and nervous at the same time and it is sort of a natural feeling but I am more excited, as it will be a celebration sort of a feeling at home."

On being asked if he will be inviting his industry friends for the celebrations, Anas had said, "I don't have many friends in the industry but I would send invitations to people I know and it will be most probably from the team of Diya Aur Baati Hum, but whether they will turn up or not depends on their availability."

When asked what kind of a wedding it would be, he had said, "It will be a traditional wedding, like it has been happening in the family. The 'Nikah' is on 9th of September and on the 10th we will be holding a reception. Everything is being organized by my parents and I will follow all sorts of traditions."
