Ever since it has been reported that almost 2300 trees will be cut at Aarey Colony for an upcoming Metro Car construction as part of the Mumbai Metrorail project, there has been an outrage on social media. Many Television and Bollywood celebs have come together to voice their concern over the same as part of the movement called Save Aarey. From Karan Wahi, Arjun Bijlani, to Shraddha Kapoor, and many others, social media is swarmed with messages to save the nature.
Amid this, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke star Shaheer Sheikh too took to social media to share a poignant post on saving Mother Nature. Currently coming back from Indonesia, the actor shared a video of the clouds from the flight and wrote, "It’s still not too late for us to realise how we are treating Mother Nature, how we can treat it and what it is capable of.. #beforeitstoolate #motherNature." Meanwhile, at a movement held today, Shraddha Kapoor was a part of the human chain formed to protest against the decision. The protestors are demanding that the location of construction can be changed but the little greenery in Mumbai should not be touched. Close to a lakh objections have been received by BMC so far, yet no change in the decision has been made.
