After Jannat Zubair, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki fame Sweta Bhattacharya says NO to do intimate scenes on-screen
Sweta Bhattacharya of Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki fame has left the producers in a fix after she refused to perform an intimate scene with co-star Vishal Vashishtha.
Earlier this month it was Tu Aashiqui fame Jannat Zubair who made the headlines for refusing to perform any intimate scene onscreen. Following this, rumours suggested that the actor might be replaced but nothing of that sorts has happened so far.
Now, it is Sweta Bhattacharya of Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki fame who had left the producers in a fix after she refused to perform an intimate scene with co-star Vishal Vashishtha. The duo was to shoot a suhagraat scene. Regarding this, a source informed Bombay Times, "Sweta has a clause in her contract that she won’t do intimate scenes, and won’t wear sleeveless and short clothes. Because of this, the suhagraat sequence had to be toned down considerably.”
Reacting to this, the daily quoted Sweta saying that she is not comfortable doing intimate scenes which has become common on Television today. She also said that there was no intimate scene in the original Bengali show on which the show is based. “I am not comfortable wearing sleeveless clothes, as I don’t think that they flatter my body. When it comes to short clothes, I had told the producers right in the beginning that I won’t wear hot pants or anything too short. This is the remake of a Bengali show and we are sticking to the original script. There wasn’t any intimate scene in the original show, so there is no need to shoot one for the Hindi version. I had told the makers that I won’t be comfortable shooting intimate scenes or locking lips, which has become normal on TV nowadays. However, it’s not up my alley," Sweta said.
