After Hina Khan, Kanchi Singh quits popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai
Kanchi Singh is currently serving her notice period.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the most loved serials on Television and has been running for the last 8 years. It is a family drama that most houses relate to. Fans were shocked when their favorite bahu Akshara aka Hina Khan quit the show. After Hina Khan, it's now Kanchi Singh who has quit the show and is currently serving her 3 months notice period. Kanchi joined Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai just about last year, and within a year has quit the show as she is not happy with her role. She felt her part in the show was getting sidelined and after a lot of thinking she decided to quit the show.
Kanchi confirmed the news to a leading daily and said, "Yes, I have quit the show. I didn't see any future for my character. I totally understand that shifting focus from a popular couple — Kartik and Naira — to any other character could be detrimental to the show, but my character was completely sidelined in the bargain. I wish the 'Yeh Rishta...' team all the best. I'll always be indebted to producer Rajan Shahi, who launched me in the industry. I would like to play meaningful characters now and have decided to take up only lead roles."
Looks like actors are not very happy on the sets of Yeh Rishta and being sidelined is something that is appreciated by no one. We wish this lady lots of luck and success and hope to see her in another show real soon.
