Actor Rajiv Kapoor's sudden demise leaves his co actor Anita Raaj in shock; Says ‘Lost my dear friend’

 Bollywood veteran actor Rajiv Kapoor passed away today after suffering from cardiac arrest. As reported, he was rushed to the hospital but was declared brought dead. Rajiv Kapoor's brother Randhir Kapoor confirmed the news to The Times of India. The news has shocked the fans as it has not even been a year since Rishi Kapoor passed away. Celebrities and fans took to their social handle to express their condolences to the bereaving family. Rajiv Kapoor is best known for his film Ram Terii Ganga Maili.

His co-star Anita Raaj was in shock when she heard that Rajiv Kapoor is no more. The actress shared a picture on her Instagram handle and wrote, “Lost my dear friend. Loss of words!! Pray his soul rest in eternal peace.” Talking to The Times of India, Anita Raaj said, “It is hard to believe that he has gone. I know him since my childhood days. We were very close. I don’t have words to express my pain. He always appreciated my work in Choti Sardani show.”

Anita Raaj and Rajiv Kapoor worked in films Lover Boy, Zalzala and Zimmedaar. She even mentioned that the late actor was very close to her husband and children.

Confirming the news, Randhir Kapoor was quoted saying to The Times of India, “I have lost my youngest brother, Rajiv. He is no more. The doctors tried their best but could not save him”. He also mentioned that they are still at the hospital waiting for the body.
