Aashka Goradia on her marriage with Brent Goble: My love story is a fairytale, so why not the wedding?
Aashka Goradia opened up about her wedding plans.
Aashka Goradia and beau Brent Goble are all set to have a fairytale wedding in the first week of December. They will be having a white wedding on December 1 and a traditional Indian wedding on December 3, 2017, in Ahmedabad.
Talking about her wedding, Aashka stated to a leading daily, "My love story is a fairytale, so why not the wedding? If you asked me a couple of years ago, I used to think that I wouldn't ever get married. Today, my friends ask me about that thought and my answer is that I found the right guy and what matters is getting married to him. This decision has led to the happiness of my family, who have always dreamt that I get married in a certain way, which is why I am going all out to have a fairy-tale wedding."
She further said, "I am excited that Brent’s family wants an Indian style wedding. I have been working on their clothes for the various functions. I realise it is not the big day that matters but the small moments leading to the big day that do. I never imagined that I would experience such joy in life or have an intercultural marriage. The white wedding will be different as my family will do things that they have never done before. I am still working on my vows. There are many new things I am doing that I never thought I would do."
When asked about her honeymoon plans, Aashka added, "Brent’s parents want to see India and we are excited to take them to Rajasthan and also show them the Taj Mahal. That’s the plan as of now."
The pretty actress' wedding date got postponed as she didn't want it to clash with her birthday. Talking about it, Goradia said, "You know, initially the wedding date was November 27-28 but I put my foot down as I didn’t want my birthday and the wedding day to be the same. That’s why we chose December 1 and 3 for the wedding dates. This birthday is my last as a spinster, so I will have a blast with my family and cousins in Ahmedabad. And now every year, celebrations will start on November 27 and continue till December 3. That was my plan all along (laughs)."
