Rakhi Sawant withdraws her plea for anticipatory bail
Rakhi Sawant was involved in a legal battle for allegedly hurting sentiments for speaking against Valmiki.
Rakhi is known as a controversial queen and is alway embroiled in controversies. A while back, an arrest warrant was issued against her by a local court in Ludhiana over her alleged hurtful remarks against the sage Valmiki last year. However, later, the Punjab police refuted rumours of her arrest and made it clear that nothing of that sort has been done as yet. In recent developments, according to a leading daily, Rakhi has withdrawn her plea for anticipatory bail in accordance with the case. Dinesh Kumar, Additional sessions judge stated that Rakhi had been booked under Section 298 of the IPC, which was a bailable offence. Then the lawyer withdrew the plea deal. The case is pending before the court of judicial magistrate Vishav Gupta for May 11. Meanwhile, Rakhi had kept a press conference a while back talking about the incident. She said, "I think people are forcefully dragging me under bad light to ruin my career. I did not say anything wrong to hurt anyone's sentiment. Even then, I made an apology video and uploaded it online." She added, "I am as fearless as the Rani of Jhansi and I will fight against all those people who are dragging me in controversy." "Last year, I did a press conference on Mika's behalf to support him, and today because of that, when I am in trouble, he (Mika Singh) did not even bother to respond on the matter, though I am getting messages from Bollywood stars. But I am sad that Mika did not say a single word for me," she concluded.
