Reema Lagoo's Tu Tu Main Main co-star Supriya Pilgaonkar opens up about Reemaji's untimely demise.
Veteran actor Reema Lagoo passed away this morning after suffering a cardiac arrest last night. She is best remembered for her roles in movies like Hum Saath Saath Hai, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Vaastav, Kya Kehna, Maine Pyaar Kiya, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, Yes Boss among many others. Besides proving her mettle in doing serious and emotional roles, Reema ji also had a funny bone. Her comic timing in popular sitcoms like Tu Tu Main Main,
Shrimaan Shrimati and others were hugely appreciated.
Supriya Pilgaonkar, who played Reemaji onscreen daughter-in-law in Tu Tu Main Main and Kadvee, Khatti, Meethi, also expressed her shock over her untimely demise.
When we got in touch with the actor, she said, "I looked up to her [Reema Lagoo]. . Wasn't she just amazing, so graceful, was privileged to see her perform on stage as well , so many memories gushing ... used to have lot many soulful conversations ... but I am glad she was working till last day that how she wanted it. Let us all pray for her onwards journey to The Light."
Reema Lagoo was last seen in Mahesh Bhatt's Naamkarann wherein she played the role of Dayawanti Mehta. Her character was well received and appreciated by many. Expressing his grief over Reemji's demise, Viraf Patel, who played Reemaji's onscreen son in the show, said, "What a lovely woman and what a legacy or work she has left behind for all of us to admire and be inspired by. I feel a sense of good fortune that I got to be her last onscreen son."
Reema Lagoo complained of chest pain last night and then was taken to Mumbai's Kokilaben Ambani hospital at 1 am. She passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at 3.15 AM last night. The cremation of the late actress would be held at the Oshiwara crematorium at 2 PM today.
