When Piyaa Albela's Akshay Mhatre hit his co-star Tushar Khanna
Tushar Khanna gets injured on the sets of Piyaa Albela.
Piyaa Albela which is a Rajshri Production and is created by Sooraj Barjatya is a modern-day interpretation of the love story between Menaka and Vishwamitra. It stars Akshay Mhatre and Sheen Dass as Naren and Pooja.
Meanwhile, Akshay is good friends with Tushar Khanna who plays Mayank on the show. Recently, an unfortunate incident took place on the sets. According to a leading television portal, Akshay by mistake hit Tushar while shooting an upcoming fight sequence on the show. Now, Tushar is nursing an injury.
Speaking about the incident with the portal, Tushar said, "It was 4 am in the morning, and we were shooting for a fight sequence. For that particular shot, Akshay had to pick a wooden plank to beat up goons, and since I was standing beside him, he mistakenly hit my hand. I had a cut on my palm."
He continued, "Well, the accident doesn’t end here. Next day again while shooting for the same continual fight scene, we had few women called to hit the goons with sticks but they by whacked the back of my head not once but thrice. Thankfully nothing major happened. All these minor accidents are prone to happen on the sets."
Earlier in an interview with Pinkvilla, we had asked Sooraj about Piyaa Albela clashing with Sooraj's cousin Kavita Barjatya's show Ek Rishta Saajhedaari Ka on Sony TV.
He said to us, "That is where the Rajshri as a family comes. When I realized that Piyaa Albela could clash with Kavita Bharjatya 's Ek Rishta Saajhedaari Ka, I spoke to her and very confidently, she asked me to go ahead."
