Television actors Karanvir Bohra and Teejay Sidhu have been married for over 11 years now. The duo became proud parents to twin daughters last year in October.

Since then Karan has been juggling between professional commitments and personal life. Teejay along with the kids stayed back in Canada post pregnancy and Karan was managing it all pretty well.

The proud father finally returned to the city with his twins and wife on Tuesday. This is Teejay and her daughters' first visit to the city, post turning a parent.

Karanvir- who is currently very excited to spend as much time possible with his kids, spoke about embracing parenthood and much more in an exclusive interview with us.

Here are the excerpts from the interview

What is the first thought in your mind right now knowing that your kids are so close to you finally?

I just want to leave shoot and go back home. (laughs)

I just want to leave shoot and go back home. (laughs)

How did you manage to convince yourself to come for the shoot today?

Work is work, you cannot leave work midway. I am committed that way but my heart is at home and my mind is also at home. There is enough time now. I haven't slept the whole night. Teejay and I haven't slept so I will just go and sleep. We were both were awake.

Were you surprised when you received the most traditional welcome at the airport?

No, I wasn't. They [My family] always do that. They have been doing that since I was a child. Whenever anybody goes or comes abroad for the first time, they always welcome in a traditional style, like how it used to be in the olden days with the malas and pooja.

So, what next? Any plan for a babymoon since you haven't got one yet?

I haven't given Teejay her babymoon so we will possibly be going for a babymoon in August. We will decide on it in the next month.

You haven't yet revealed your babies name. What do you call them at home?

We will soon reveal their names. But at home, we call them Miko and Nonu. Miko because Teejay says she looks Japanese like Miko-Tashi and Nonu is like small little, she is very petite and hence the name.

So, are you guys planning a small get together or a naming ceremony?

We will probably plan a naming ceremony soon.

What changes have you noticed in you ever since you have become a father?

I have become more responsible. We still feel that these are not our babies but somebody else's but we do feel responsible towards them.

How has the experience been so far?

Overwhelming. They have started responding to voices and their names and of course, they know TJ really well. When they see TJ they feel that okay they know someone around them. I am still a stranger, I'm not a dad.

Has anyone from your Naagin 2 family met the twins?

They [Teejay and kids] just came last night and Mouni [Roy] wanted to come home, so probably I will bring them to the sets. Whenever Teejay sends a picture, I keep showing it to Mouni, Adaa, Sudhaji, Mouni is the most excited though. She wants to gobble one of them. I want to get them on sets and then straight seedha kaam pe lag jayo.

Did you watch any videos or read books to prepare for this new role in real life?

Teejay has raised 5 siblings so she knows exactly what to do. She has just given me a crash course on how to take care of the kids.
