Star Plus' Show Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka starring Pankhuri Awasthy deals with a sensitive subject related to domestic violence. The show is an Indian adaptation of a Turkish show, Fatmagul.
The show has hit headlines after the actor Pankhuri was reported to have gotten an electric shock on the set. According to a report in an entertainment portal, electricians were working on the wiring and the fixing of the light issues on the set where Pankhuri happened to have accidently touched the switchboard. Despite being instructed to stay away from the electric board until the repair Pankhuri accidently hit an electric shock.
Seeing this, the cast immediately ran to her rescue and somehow managed to rip her off the vibrations and trembling. She, in fact, lose control over her muscles and suffered a few burn marks on her hand and was left to deal with a lot of pain. A doctor was immediately called on the set for dressing and medications.
The shooting was halted after Pankhuri was left traumatized after the incident.
The actor was earlier seen playing the role of a fierce ruler in her last show Razia Sultan.
Talking about her current show, Pankhuri earlier said, “It feels amazing to be a part of this show, Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Kya? I’m really happy to have this opportunity of playing the lead."
“Amala is an unconventional character and a huge responsibility as the way such shows are perceived in the Indian society. It is very sensitive, hence the makers have kept in mind the Indian sensibilities while creating the show,” she said.
Besides Pankhuri, the Star Plus show will also feature Rajveer Singh, Anant Joshi, Rajesh Khattar, Akshay Anand and Kasturi Banerjee.
