Sarabhai vs Sarabhai 2: Sumeet Raghvan celebrates his birthday with the cast
Sumeet Raghvan aka Sahil Sarabhai from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai celebrated his birthday with the cast.
Sarabhai vs Sarabhai was one of those classy sitcoms that left a mark on the viewers years after its final broadcast. The dysfunctional family was loved by all and each character was memorable. Now the show is set to be back as a web-series and fans can't handle their excitement.
As the cast continues shooting for the series, Sumeet Raghvan who plays the lovable Dr. Sahil Sarabhai on the show celebrated his birthday with the cast yesterday. He told a leading news agency, "This birthday is special because as an actor it's extremely creative. I was shooting for my show and later I shall be with my family. Of course, I cut cakes with the Sarabhais as well as my drama troupe post the play."
Apart from the team, Ashutosh Gowarikar and Mahesh Manjrekar were also present to watch his play and celebrate his birthday.
We love the camaraderie of the cast!
The show will be back on May post a seven-year leap and a new character in the form of Sahil and Monisha (Rupali Ganguly's son) will be introduced.
In an interview with us after the first script reading session, Sumeet had told us, "We had a great time for the script reading. I mean what do you expect when the Sarabhais meet. Complete madness. Can't wait to start shooting."
Speaking of the iconic characters, Sumeet said, "The characters of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai are all extremely human and real and that's where the humour lies. One can relate to these characters, not a single one is far fetched so to get the real essence and the vulnerability, it was paramount to revisit Sahil."
