Dear Snapchat, Anita Hassanandani's video proves we don't need your face filters to look cute
Anita Hassanandani's reaction to the Snapchat controversy is epic.
Snapchat's CEO Evan Spiegel has definitely opened not a can but an entire box of worms it seems! And needless to say that it has backfired on him and how! While we Indians are popular for our intra quarrels, FYI, we are also known for our unity against any outsider who has the audacity to put our country in a negative light.
Well, and whoever told you that we needed the hyped Snapchat filters to make ourselves look cute, needs some reality check. And why so we say that?! So recently Anita Hassanandani and Rohit Reddy posted a video clip of themselves on Instagram. The two are just seen sticking their tongue out, something that Snapchat asked us to do to get the dog face filter. And trust us, they look cuter! Apparently, similar to the millions of patriots who bid adieu to the app, Anita too seems to have deleted it. FYI, Anita has been an avid user of the filters.
Talking about the controversy, for the uninitiated, Snapchat's CEO, Evan Spiegel, apparently said the app is "only for rich people" and that he doesn't "want to expand into poor countries like India and Spain." The moment the news was out, it spread like wildfire leading to a social media war, where twitteratis made sure to leave no stone unturned in giving it back to the CEO who reportedly tried to belittle their country.
Well well, did someone forget that India is a land of fierce warriors, be it on war field or on social media! Whatever it is, Bye Bye Snapchat!
