EXCLUSIVE: Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai NOT to return as a TV show
Sarabhai VS Sarabhai will be aired only on digital platform.
The news of popular sitcom Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai making way for a television show along with being aired on the digital platform took internet by storm.
We contacted JD Majethia and Atish Kapadia, the minds behind Sarabhai VS Sarabhai to confirm the news. Both of them shrugged the news to be mere rumours.
"These reports are completely false", said JD Majethia. "As of now Sarabhai shall be airing only on the digital platform and have nothing in mind to get in onto the TV medium."
Atish too denied of the reports.
The rumours spread like wildfire when a source told a daily, “The makers of the show unveiled the cast’s new looks through a live video, that got a phenomenal response. It crossed 2.4 million views within 24 hours! It shows that the serial starring Satish Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ganguly and Rajesh Kumar has a lot of nostalgia attached to it and people can’t wait to revisit it. Right now, it is planned as a 10-episode web series with a seven-year leap in the show. But looking at the response, the makers are pondering whether they should also bring it back on TV. They will soon take a call on it.”

Meanwhile, the Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai family is returning with a seven-year leap. The team was recently live on Facebook to give us a glimpse of what's in store for us. Apart from them now having shifted to a penthouse and Monisha Sarabhai and Sahil Sarabhai now being proud parents to a six-year-old boy, nothing has literally changed.
One of the producers, Jamnadas Majethia gave us a tour of the house and well it was a visual treat to watch the entire cast yet again.
We also got to witness the crackling chemistry between the lead characters (Maya Sarabhai, Indravadan Sarabhai, Rosesh Sarabhai, Sahil Sarabhai, Monisha Sarabhai, Dushyant Sarabhai) which was reminiscent of their love-hate relationships.
