D3 star Shantanu Maheshwari overcoming his water phobia is inspiring

Think of a cute looking actor with just the right moves and looks to die for and we have Shantanu Maheshwari! Well, not many know that the otherwise confident star who isn't afraid of risks or stunts is phobic to water.

But having said that, the actor is currently working on overcoming his water phobia. The actor who has taken a short break after his long stint on JDJ9 is pursuing swimming lessons as he is keen to now get over his phobia.

While talking to us, Shantanu said, "Yes I am at the moment taking swimming, as a challenge. I have always wanted to learn it, but never really took it up as there was a slight fear in me. But now I have decided that it is high time I overcome this fear! It is also helping build up my stamina which in turn is getting out the best of me at my dance rehearsals, and honestly, I am now starting to enjoy it as it is a great way of working out."

While he is phobic to water, he is extremely confident when it comes to pranking people. The Jhalak Dikhhlaja Jaa runner-up who is apparently known to be extremely shy and innocent turns out actually to be a prankster hiding in disguise of a puppy face. The actor who is still fondly remembered as Swayam Shekhawat from his very first show Dil Dostii Dance once recalled one of his best April Fools Day pranks right from their shoot days on set!

Shantanu said, "So when shooting for an outdoor shoot one year during D3, our entire team decided to prank one of our co-stars and crew members, about paranormal activity in the hotel! We all actually started making sounds, and faces which freaked them out so much that she was nearly on her way back home and started crying complaining to the production people! She got so freaked out that we had no option but to tell her that it was just a prank!! She was so angry with all of us, but we did have the time of our life, it was an awesome shoot too, and something we will never forget! And one of the best pranks I ever got to play on my costar."
