The pretty lady Mithila Palkar captivated the minds of viewers with her innocence and sheer talent in her cup beat song that went viral on social media. She then went on to bag the lead role in one of 2016's most popular web series, Girl in the City!

The sheer innocence perfectly blended with excitement and enthusiasm of wanting to make it big in the city of dreams within a short time span allotted by her parents, was portrayed finely by Mithila in the form of Meera. Her character apparently has become so popular that now onlookers have started recognising her as Meera.

Speaking of the existing existential issues in her life, Mithila laughingly reveals, “While I was doing the first season of Girl In The City, a lot of people remembered me through my character name. None of them knew my real name and my onscreen name Meera became my identity”.

The young actress recalls a fun incident from the past, Mithila says, “At a Metro station, I got called out by my character name – Meera - and I realised that I had started responding to that quite intuitively. It was quite a funny moment.”

Through an engaging narrative, the first season of Bindass' web series, Girl In The City portrayed a journey of self-discovery, as a young girl with dreams to step into the bustling city of Mumbai. The new series was launched on March 24, 2017.

Mithila also took the internet by storm recently for the news of her dating Marathi star Ameya Wagh. When we asked her about the truth to the story, the actress chose not to comment stating that she was uncomfortable in answering questions related to her personal life.

Mithila's' cup beat song that went viral last year, got her into the limelight. It was then when the actress' fine acting skills and sheer talent got all the limelight that it deserved. The cup beat rendition song struck a chord with millions of people and was loved by not just the common man but also ace artists like Paresh Rawal, Imtiaz Ali and many more.
