Kamya Punjabi hits back, rubbishes the reports of her being jailed for 6 months
In a conversation with us, Kamya Punjabi has refuted the reports of her going to the jail for six months.
Controversies around Pratyusha Banerjee's last film refuse to die down as today the reports came that Kamya might be sent to jail for six month for not taking the stay order by Rahul Raj Singh seriously.
We got in touch with Kamya to rectify the reports, to which she responded by saying, "I don't want to give them any importance. If there's anything, they are free to do whatever they want to. I don't care about what they are claiming, the movie is already out. It's like whatever Kamya does, we'll put a case on her."
She added, "These are just bogus reports. Wait a minute! Tum ek raat jail mein nahi baithe and Kamya 6 months ke liye jaegi. Tell them Kamya said 'In your dreams'. When I was doing the screening, Rahul was calling everyone present there. I did what I wanted. The notice which has come, we are tackling with that too."
Earlier, Rahul had filed an FIR stating that the film is showing him in a negative light. He wrote, "I have lost my girlfriend last year on 1st April 2016. On 27/3/2017 I was shocked to read that Kamya Punjabi has given an interview and declared that she is releasing one short film based on the life of my girlfriend Pratyusha Banerjee and she has portrayed my character in an abusive manner. Further, she has used my girlfriend Pratyusha's old video as a new one."
When we asked about these reports, Kamya said, "I would want to say that Rahul has got nothing to go with the film and he is unnecessarily creating drama. He wants to seek some attention. And as promised, I am a woman of my words, I am going to show the film tomorrow."
