The Sunday eve saw some path breaking performances by the top three finalists on the grand finale of Indian Idol 9. As they say, May the best man win, Hyderabad's LV Revanth took away the title and a cash prize of INR 25 lakh.

The singer who is a popular name in the South Industry, while talking to us revealed that it was not a doddle for a non-Hindi speaking guy like him to win a competition majorly focusing on the songs of the same language. The actor who wants to make a mark in the Bollywood industry as well said that he will first be focusing on improving Hindi.

Here are some unknown facts about the mellifluous singer who won hearts seamlessly.

1. LV Revanth admits that his Hindi is not just bad but worst and is working on it rapidly. 

2. He is an untrained singer and has just learnt the basics of music.

3. Sensitive and Short tempered at the same time.

4. He believes in being straightforward and cannot just be fake in real life.

5. The singer is completely outspoken- But in his words, he says, "I don't know what to talk, but I always want to talk." 

6. Despite being approached for movies following his good looks, he wants to remain a singer and does not aspire to be an actor, unless he gets some really good offer.

7. He has won the IIFA Utsavam award 2016.

8. He considers Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol's Janam Janam from Dilwale as his lucky charm.

Following the Manohari singer from Baahubali, bagging The 1st runner-up was Khuda Baksh. The trophy to Revanth was handed over by the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar who made his TV debut on the singing reality show.  Coming from Visakhapatnam, Revanth's favourite judge was Anu Malik while on Indian Idol.
