Pratyusha Banerjee's mother: My daughter will never be able to come home
As a tribute to Pratyusha Bannerjee on her first death anniversary, a prayer meet and the launch of her last short film took place in the city today.
The prayer meet and launch of Pratyusha Bannerjee’s last short film titled Hum Kuchh Keh Na Sakey took place in the city today. Spotted at the event were the late actress’s father Shankar Bannerjee, mother Soma Bannerjee , close pal Kamya Punjabi and movie’s producer Neerusha Nikhat.
While many of Pratyusha’s friends from the television world were missing from the event, her father Shankar seemed overwhelmed as he thanked Kamya and Neerusha for the hard work they had put in to release the film.
Speaking at the prayer meet, Mr. Bannerjee was heard as saying, “I have nothing to say especially today, just cannot stop thanking Kamya and Neerusha for doing all this today. I salute their friendship with Pratyusha.”
On the other hand, the actress’s mother made a statement and urged men to stop harassing women. Getting emotional at the short film launch Mrs. Bannerjee said, “On this eve of Navratri, I just want to say that girls come to their parents’ house, but my daughter will never be able to come. I just want to request all men out there to stop harassing women. And ask women to be strong.”
Caught amid a lot of controversies, the film’s launch took place today as a tribute to the late actress on her first death anniversary.
The earnings from the film would be given to Pratyusha’s parents. Informing about the same Kamya had earlier told a popular news portal, “The producer has decided to give the money to her parents. Here, I am with all my heart promoting the film because the earnings will go for parents financial security.”
