Undoubtedly, The Kapil Sharma Show needs all its iconic characters back NOW!
The Kapil Sharma VS Sunil Grover saga just doesn't seem to end anytime soon. Rather the issue and problems between them seem to be persistent. Meanwhile, last night was the debut episode of The Kapil Sharma Show after their BIG Fight; without Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar.
Yes, we are pretty sure the TRPs of this episode are certainly going to be high, but majorly because of the humongous number of viewers backing Sunil who would definitely want to see an entire one hour show without the supposed pillars of the show, Dr Mashoor Gulati, Rinku Bhabhi, Dadi and the Chaiwala. We wouldn't say the episode was a big let down. No! It did manage to make us laugh with the guests of the day Raju Srivastava, Sunil Pal and Ehsaan Qureshi on board. But this episode struck a striking resemblance to one of the previous laughter challenge shows, where the ace comedians competed with one another. (After all we were watching TKSS and not the Great Indian Laughter Challenge?!)
The Kapil Sharma Show 'speciality' was hands down missing Big Time. It indeed wasn't a pleasant sight to watch TKSS being helmed by Kapil alone and without the typical nok jhok of him and Gulati or Rinku Bhabhi. Well, not to forget, though a thorough professional, Kapil too seemed in a little different zone giving away the entire stage to his guests to carry on the episode completely on their shoulders. Well, thanks to the ego clashes of the two stalwarts of comedy, Taapsee Pannu and Manoj Bajpai who had come to promote their upcoming movie Naam Shabana had to miss out on the laugh till you drop moments by Doctor, Bhabhi, Dadi and Chaiwala. Yes, keeping his trademark intact, Sidhu did laugh on the commonest and silliest of jokes, which we are pretty sure unfortunately musn't have worked for viewers.
Yes, the three guests on board made it a point to crack some funny one liners, jokes, riddles in their patent style and it did make us giggle! But haven't we seen all of this before, probably right from their struggling days! Well, We were watching the typically hilarious The Kapil Sharma Show! Right?!
Hope to see the team spring back into action for the sake of the fans who rely on them for great weekends! What say?!
