Here's why Kapil Sharma can finally heave a sigh of relief
Kapil Sharma's controversy with the BMC takes a positive turn; High Court asks BMC to personally look into the matter
One actor who probably is eating, sleeping and literally living controversies these days is the ace comedian Kapil Sharma, for sure. Be it his personal life or professional, the fine comedian is all over the internet.
While the other stories, right from his squabble with Sunil Grover and his TKSS team to his split with Preeti Simoes, to his marriage announcement being doubted as a cover up story to his other controversies, are getting him into unwanted negative light, here is finally some news that acts as a ray of hope in the sudden darkness in Mr Sharma's life.
In a major relief to comedian Kapil Sharma, the Bombay High Court has put a stay on the FIR filed against him. The HC has asked the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to personally hear out on his demolition notice. The BMC had earlier issued a notice to Kapil, saying he ‘went beyond the legal plan of his flat and made unauthorised alterations.’ He was further asked to get the extra portions of his Goregaon residence demolished. The corporation said that he hadn't filed a reply nor had submitted any papers to prove that the alterations made in his 9th floor flat were legalised.
The BMC today informed the court that after consultation with legal experts, it has decided to withdraw the notices. Earlier, Kapil took to Twitter lashing out on a BMC official who apparently asked for a bribe from him. He directly questioned the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi over his promise of 'Ache Din!'
Kapil tweeted, "I am paying 15 cr income tax from last 5 year n still i have to pay 5 lacs bribe to BMC office for making my office @narendramodi. Yeh hain aapke achhe din ? @narendramodi." Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis had assured Kapil of taking strict actions against the accused once the comedian reveals the name. But it backfired when BMC slapped a notice against him for illegal construction in his house.
Phew!
