Kapil Sharma is currently in news over his tiff with Sunil Grover after the former assaulted him on a flight. While Kapil maintained that there is no animosity between the two, Sunil through a Twitter post revealed that he was hurt and advised Kapil to not act like a GOD.

In the meanwhile, the list of highest advance tax payers from the entertainment industry is out and guess who has surprisingly made an appearance on the list? Well, it's none other than Kapil Sharma.

According to a leading news portal, the comedian-turned-actor has paid an advance tax of Rs 23.9 crore compared to Rs 7 crore in the last financial year.

"The number indicates that Kapil Sharma's personal income has jumped by almost 206 per cent in one year," an IT official said to a leading news portal.

However, it is B-Town's Dabanng Khan who tops the list of advance tax payers. Salman has paid an advance tax of Rs 44.5 crore for the year 2016-17 as compared to Rs 32.2 crore paid in 2015-16.

For those uninitiated, advance tax also called as 'pay-as-you-earn' scheme wherein an individual pays a part of his tax before the financial year ends. If your income tax liability is more than Rs 10,000 in the given fiscal year, an individual is entitled to pay advance tax. It is supposed to be paid in the year in which the income is received. Reportedly, the total advance tax paid by an individual is 33 per cent of the total income he/she earns in a financial year.
