Veena Malik opens up about her divorce with her husband of three years Asad Bashir Khan Khattak.
Veena Malik, who is known for her stint in the Bigg Boss house has now become the talk of the town as it was revealed that she is now divorced. She ended her three-year-old marriage with Asad Bashir Khan Khattak.
Rumours have been rife about the reason behind the divorce and Veena is coming clean as she gave an interview to a Pakistani news program. In a promo on Twitter for the show - an emotional Veena is seen exclaiming and asking if she has to live with the burden of people accusing her of marrying Asad because of his money. She also asked all those people as to where they are now, as she is officially divorced.
Veena was granted the divorce in Lahore by a family court. As Asad failed to appear before the court, Veena's divorce application khula was accepted.
An official from the court had informed a leading news agency, "The 33-year-old actress had filed a divorce plea in the Lahore family court in January this year after the couple developed differences and could not live together. The court immediately summoned Asad Khattak, but he neither appeared in front of the judge nor filed a reply. Due to this, the court accepted Veena’s plea and issued a ruling that validated their divorce. The couple kept this development under wraps till now for personal reasons."
Veena and Asad got married in Dubai, three years back and they have two kids together - Abram and Amal.
