EXCLUSIVE: Randeep Hooda - I don't watch anything but the news because that's where the entertainment lies
Randeep Hooda talks about his television debut MTV Big F.
Randeep Hooda is all set to make his television debut with MTV's Big F season two. The show talks about woman's desires and how it is not a taboo unlike what's shown in the country.
In an exclusive interview with PINKVILLA.com, Randeep spoke about his debut on TV. He said, "I am very excited as I always thought TV is a great medium to engage in. It is a great way for an actor or performer to reach out to a wider audience and that's what attracted me. But, earlier I had been not part of shows, though I was offered then but I chose MTV because it is a youthful channel and I think I connect with them the most. We are a young country and I am also a teenager at heart I think. That's what it is."
He further added, "Also, when they approached me with the show, I thought I could not fit into it. But, when they told the story, then I saw the kind of issues they were tackling which are pertinent today. I think it's a great thing to have a conversation. Since the show is more aimed at the men, I think I will be able to talk to them better."
Television has become one the greatest medium right now and many Bollywood celebrities are seen venturing into it. But, still, television is looked down upon. When Randeep was asked about it, he said, "I don't look down upon television. I think television is great, although I am not a great watcher of television. In fact these days, I don't watch anything but the news because that's where the entertainment lies. I don't watch so much, but I think youth channels young people watch it a lot. Still, it kind of gives them away of what is cool, what is not, what is aspirational. And I think TV is a good medium and I don't look down upon it, I never have."
