Asit Modi on Bhavya Gandhi quitting Taarak Mehta... - Sometimes people start thinking they're bigger than the show
Creator of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Asit Modi expresses his disappointment over Bhavya Gandhi quitting the show.
It came as a shock when Bhavya Gandhi aka Tapu from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah decided to quit the show. After eight years of entertaining the viewers, Bhavya decided to move on from the show as he was looking forward to doing something new and challenging.
He went on to say that there was no growth in his character on the show and will be working in a Gujarati film soon.
Now as per a popular tabloid, the makers of the show have zeroed down a new actor to play Tapu. Named Raj Anadkat, the 19-year-old boy from Mumbai has bagged the role and will start shooting for the show from today itself.
Talking about it, the creator of the show, Asit Kumarr Modi stated, "We had been auditioning for some time now while simultaneously trying to convince Bhavya to stay on. But he was adamant he wanted to quit. We have now signed Raj who is a good-looking, talented boy."
He further expressed his disappointment on Bhavya quitting the show. He added saying, "Sometimes people start thinking they're bigger than the show. He went ahead and did a Gujarati film without informing us."
Talking about Raj, the young lad is studying in a suburban Mumbai college and he will be introduced on Tapu's birthday. The episode is set to be aired next week.
Asit said, "I plan to focus on Tapu Sena's college track in the upcoming episodes."
