EXCLUSIVE: Juhi Chawla to play a cameo in Ekta Kapoor's next
Juhi Chawla will be playing an important cameo in Ekta Kapoor's next web show which is being directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.
Juhi Chawla is set to collaborate with Ekta Kapoor's next which is a web show. She will be seen playing a cameo in the web show which is being directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.
Juhi will be playing an influential character that has Nimrat Kaur in it. Nimrat will be seen prepping to be the Indian Army’s first woman test case in a combat role. Chawla will be making her debut in a digital platform and was impressed when the makers narrated the concept of her character and she said yes.
She will also be reuniting with Nagesh after starring in his movie 3 Deewarein. She told us, "I still have very fond memories of working with Nagesh. Over the years, we never got a chance to work together, but this time when he offered me this role, I was going to say yes straight away."
On how different was it shooting for a digital platform, she said, "In terms of shooting it, all seemed very simple. It’s a very interesting and well-written scene with a lovely twist at the end. It was quite dialogue driven, so how I prepared for it is I went over my lines before I reached the location to get familiar with it. Later, I took the brief from Nagesh and enacted in front of him. He said no and told me that he just wants me to be me and honest. I did what he wished me to do and I hope it came out right."
She added, "The location was like normally how it would have been. The way we were doing it was the way it was ought to be done. Where it probably will appear (digital platform) is a different space. Being on a digital platform, there are no boundaries. This digital show could be watched anywhere around the world, which is quite amazing."
The name of the web series is yet to be named and will be streaming soon.
