Attack on Sanjay Leela Bhansali disrupts the shooting of Shaleen Bhanot's Maharaja Ranjit Singh!
The attack on Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the sets of Padmavati disrupted the shooting of the TV Show, Maharaja Ranjit Singh which will star Shaleen Bhanot. The shoot of the show was stopped for a day and a half.
The incident that has been the talk of the town is of Sanjay Leela Bhansali being beaten up by protestors for allegations of distorting history in his upcoming magnum opus, Padmavati which stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. The incident became so severe that they had to stop the shooting.
This event also stopped the shooting for the TV show - Maharaja Ranjit Singh, according to a leading tabloid. The team didn't have permission to shoot in the palace as authorities were extremely worried that protesters might show up on their sets too.
Shaleen Bhanot, who is a part of the show said to the daily, "What happened on the sets of Padmavati has shaken us all and these are just precautionary measures. It's sad when such things happen. We have lost out on a day of shoot. I hope and pray the situation settles down soon."
They resumed work a day and a half later.
