He was the 1st one to know about my relationship with Raqesh- Ridhi Dogra gets emotional on talking about late director Waseem Sabir
In an unfortunate turn of events, acclaimed director Waseem Sabir, who was known for helming popular TV shows like Ganga, Veera and Maryaada, passed away on January 2.
Reportedly, Waseem tripped and fell at his residence. Though he was immediately rushed to the hospital, the injuries that his brain incurred were quite severe. He died the following day.
Actress Ridhi Dogra who has worked with him in three shows including her debut show Jhoome Jiya Re mourned his loss and shared, "Waseem sir for me was the only one in the industry I could turn to for advice and guidance. From my first show till Maryada, he has been instrumental in my foundation as an artist. I am his prodigy and owe everything I know about the craft of him. On a personal front, Raqesh Bapat, my husband, and I feel a deep sense of emptiness because he was the first one to know about our relationship and wanted us to marry fast. I cannot comprehend his passing and no words can do justice to what I feel. But I want to remember him as the childlike, happy, generous, warm and caring person he was to everyone. Waseem sir we love you"!
