A glimpse of India's melodious talent amalgamated with laughter moments, Indian Idol is back with a bang!
Indian TV is one of the largest mediums wherein the characters on screen can much better connect with the ones holding the remote. Apart from sheer daily soaps, one more thing that Indian TV is blessed with is the concept of reality shows. Whether singing or dancing, these reality shows act as the scanning medium for the silver screen industry, where the majority of the times the contestants within their monthly training are made Bollywood ready!
Having said that, well it also depends upon the contestant as to how he shapes up his career and builds his own path to success. Talk about melodious shows, and one show that has definitely left an impact on the minds of the audience is Indian Idol. The show in its 7th season has got back the first panel of judges, Farah Khan, Sonu Nigam and Anu Malik. For the 90's kids and a gen older, it is definitely similar to taking a trip down memory lane. The same nok-jhok, the shayaris, the one-liners and the sheer fun amongst the three simply makes the audiences laugh and giggle. The 7th season of the reality show that kickstarted on December 24, this year, in the first episode itself gave viewers an idea of the humongous and incredible singing talent that India has.
Yes, the contestants were obviously from the not-so-good-financial background, a few singers sung songs not to win but to make a laughing stock of themselves. (TRPs do matter, you see!) But despite all this, listeners were carried away by the euphonious voices of many. The competition was tough between various participants. While relations were unintentionally brought into the competition podium, an already established singer in the Tollywood, keeping all his flattery fame and ego aside, saw it a better platform make a mark in the tinsel town. While a talkative teenager hummed to Sunidhi Chauhan's track like a rockstar, a little boy in charge of his family, seemed to have grown up too soon, and the 'sacchai' (Anu Malik's style) in his voice got viewers goosebumps.
With such mellifluous talent amalgamated with fun-loving and sensible judges, the show definitely seems to be promising!
