It's better to shut up than to open your mouth - Karan Patel lashes out on Om Puri for his insensitive remarks on Indian soldiers
The tension between both the neighboring countries, India and Pakistan, seems to be increasing day by day. The stress begun post the Uri attacks on our brave soldiers. In return, India conducted surgical attacks on Pakistan and made sure to destroy the terror camps situated beyond the LOC, in Pak.
This obviously hasn't gone down well with Pakistan who has been hell bent on denying the attacks. But what came as a shock to Indians recently was when veteran actor Om Puri passed an insensitive remark about the martyrs who slayed their lives for the country during the Uri attacks. He said that the ban on Pakistani artists will not change the situation. He also said, “Who had asked the soldiers to join the army? Who told them to pick the weapons?”. He further suggested that India should prepare 15-20 human suicide bombers and send them to Pakistan for the blasts! This comment not only invited a tsunami of hate comments against Om Puri, but an FIR was also filed against him for insensitive remarks.
Just like all of us, Karan Patel too was too taken aback and irked by the remark. The angry Indian took to Twitter to slam Om Puri. He tweeted, "Mr. Om puri (actor) this isn't #ChinaGate #Film ... so kindly shut the fu*k up and keep the bizarre suggestions to yourself. Kuch kaam karlo. Now you please judge for yourself ... #ItsBetterToShutUp that open your mouth and talk out of your ass ...!! Mr Om Puri please find sme work. Jis din sarhad par jaana padega na sir, uss din #ChinaGate kya, apne khud ke ghar ke Gate se bahar nikal ne mein phat jayegi ... #SalaamArmy." Indeed a sad day!
